Biography

Solange is an Indigenous contemporary Christian music artist who was submerged in the fine arts at a young age, first performing on stage when she was three. During her childhood she took piano, organ, acting, and dance classes and competed in regional, provincial, and national festivals.

As a child, Solange began composing instrumental piano music and won a composition scholarship. In 2015 she wrote a bi-lingual, English and French, Mass setting and a few years later began writing her own lyrics. In early 2024 she was invited to record some of her original work in Nashville. Her debut single, 'I Surrender,' released on June 3, 2024, followed by ‘Into the Light’ on Sept 6, 2024, and 'You Are' on Nov 3, 2024. Her first EP, 'The Answer,' released on Jan 13, 2025. Since her first release Solange’s audience continues to grow with her music playing in over 50 countries.

Solange holds a music diploma from Vancouver Community College and has been privileged to teach people from all over the world, both online and in-person. 

Outside of music, Solange is a wife and homemaker with five children and lots of hobbies. As a practicing Catholic and Metis (Cree, French, Ojibwe) woman she serves on a Healing and Reconciliation Grant Committee and works for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver on Indigenous Reconciliation. You can check out that work here.
