WHY ME PROJECT

ABOUT US:

Johnny Rocket and Hollie Taylor have been a team for over 10 years and have had the wonderful privellege of launching a podcast, depite now living on oposite sides of the country. Thanks to being a morning show team, The Morning Spin, on 105.9 Shine FM (Edmonton, AB), we had the wonderful privellege of not only incredible 3rd party coaching to help us grow as a team, but also being able to connect with a supportive audience that remains faithful to the podcast even though I now reside in Ontario. The podcast was a collision of an opportunity I received to create a podcast for content for Faith Strong Today and an idea that Johnny had to write a book about regular people's moments in life when they asked the question, 'why me'? The marriage of content and opportunity when podcasting was fairly new in the Canadian Christian space turned out to be an incredible cateloge of encoruaging and compeling stories. ABOUT THE PODCAST:

With over 300 episodes in the books and 5 start reviews, Johnny Rocket and Hollie Taylor have co-hosted one of the longest running podcast on the Faith Strong Today podcast network. Since the launch of Why Me Project in 2017, they have had incredible and real conversations with people of all walks of life. Speaking with actors, singers, authors, humanitarians, politicians, and those who have faced trumas that range from being traffiked, significant loss, or family trials; there is no conversation they shy away from. Most recently, they have teamed up with Integrity Music to dive into the life and times or songwriters on the Integrity roster. This partnership has lead to wonderful conversation with serveral singer/songwriters such as Matt Redmen and Sarah Kroger. Additionally, they launched a YouTube channel last winter for a place to start sharing their years of content, AND broadcast their podcast on terresttial radio stations JOY Radio in the GTA, 88.9 Shine FM, AM 700 The Light (Calgary, AB), 90.5 Shine FM (Red Deer, AB), 105.9 Shine FM, and AM 930 The Light (Edmonton, AB)). With a consistant base of listeners, the Why Me Project has fans around the World with close to 40 thousand downloads in the past 3 years alone. Johnny and Hollie are excited to keep growing and sharing the incredible stories of their guests, as well as their Why Me moments to help encourage their listeners who may find themselves in a valley of life, or to celebrate with those on the mountaintops.
