Biography

Stirling John, an Ojibwa Inspirational Country Artist whose roots trace back to the Saugeen First Nation Reserve in Ontario, while now calling Alberta home. Located just outside of Edmonton, Stirling John embraces the opportunity to work hand in hand with First Nation communities across Canada, fueled by a passion for empowering and mentoring youth. In 2022, Stirling John dedicated himself to a transformative recording project that delved into the depths of his soul, channeling his passion for others and community service. In this journey, Stirling John not only discovered his true essence but also experienced a profound awakening through the title track, "Where I'm Meant To Be," from his latest album—a testament to what holds the greatest meaning in life. 
Music has always occupied a sacred place in Stirling's heart. However, despite growing up singing in church alongside his mother and siblings, the demands of life momentarily shifted music to the background. After graduating from high school, Stirling John chose a path as a police officer while simultaneously embarking on the journey of building a family. Yet, as the years unfolded and his path took various turns, he eventually found himself guided back to a place of comfort and passion—Inspirational Country Music. Stirling John remains steadfast in shining a light on the subjects that matter most to him: real-life people and events deserving of recognition. 
Drawing inspiration from esteemed artists like Paul Brandt, The Newsboys, Chris Tomlin, and Rascal Flatts, Stirling John's introspective music takes his listeners on a profound emotional journey. Beyond his musical endeavors, Stirling dedicates his time to volunteering and actively contributing to the development of music programs for Indigenous students in underprivileged schools. His primary focus revolves around traveling to reserves in Northern Alberta, Saskatchewan, and also Ontario where he utilizes his speeches and heartfelt performances to educate and raise awareness on critical issues such as substance abuse, mental health, gang awareness, human trafficking, and domestic violence. 
Driven by an passion for helping others, Stirling John became the Ambassador to the Veterans Association Food Bank in Alberta. Additionally, in May 2023, he established the Stirling John Foundation for Youth Empowerment, solidifying his commitment to making a lasting impact on the lives of young individuals. Stirling has received six nominations for the Country Music Alberta Awards, and in November 2022, he humbly accepted the Okimaw 7 teaching award, a distinguished honor that recognizes his unwavering commitment to honesty and June 2023 has been nominated in the Western Canadian Music Awards category for Spiritual Artist of the Year. 
Supported by a dedicated band, Stirling John's captivating performances resonate not only throughout Alberta but also across Canada. As he continues to utilize his music, Stirling remains resolute in leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of Inspirational Country Music, while simultaneously making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
