Cynthia Lok
Biography
Cynthia Lok is a Canadian singer-songwriter and worship leader from North Vancouver, B.C. She started writing music because of a prophetic word that she received from her pastor in 2004. After fighting through her own insecurities and receiving several more prophetic words on leading worship and writing songs for Jesus, Cynthia took a step of faith and wrote her first song in 2006. Since then, the Holy Spirit has been leading Cynthia, establishing divine connections, bringing encouragement and confirmation at the right time and inspiring Cynthia with words and melodies. Her music reflect her raw and honest prayers to God with fresh, contemporary pop sounds and her inspiration comes from artists such as Misty Edwards, Kim Walker-Smith, Kari Jobe and Cory Asbury.
Cynthia is passionate in leading people in worship to encounter Jesus in an intimate way and to experience freedom, healing and deliverance. Cynthia’s music has impacted people in many walks of life. Her single, “The Breaker” is an upbeat and encouraging prophetic declaration of hope and freedom for anyone who is facing a time of difficulty/spiritual opposition. After listening to Cynthia’s music, people have mentioned that they have felt peace and comfort. Cynthia’s music is known for helping others connect with God and can be used for prayer or for devotionals. Cynthia’s passion and desire is to see a generation encounter the love of God and to be transformed into radical lovers of God through the songs that God has given her.
