Verse 1: I’ve seen how you’ve been bruised and beaten I, the Lord have heard your cry The enemy has been relentless And you’ve lost your fight Verse 2: With injustice buried deep within you Anger grew and took control Infecting all the life within you But I’ll be Your hope Lead in Line: Hear me whisper Chorus: Open up your heart to me I have come to set you free Let me turn the bitter to sweet Open up your heart to me I turn the bitter into sweet I turn the bitter into sweet The bitter into sweet Verse 3: From Egypt to the banks of Marah What was hidden has now been exposed In my kindness I’ve revealed them So that you could be whole Chorus: Open up your heart to me I have come to set you free Let me turn the bitter to sweet Open up your heart to me I turn the bitter into sweet I turn the bitter into sweet The bitter into sweet
Biography
Cynthia Lok is a Canadian singer-songwriter and worship leader from North Vancouver, B.C. She started writing music because of a prophetic word that she received from her pastor in 2004. After fighting through her own insecurities and receiving several more prophetic words on leading worship and writing songs for Jesus, Cynthia took a step of faith and wrote her first song in 2006. Since then, the Holy Spirit has been leading Cynthia, establishing divine connections, bringing encouragement and confirmation at the right time and inspiring Cynthia with words and melodies. Her music reflect her raw and honest prayers to God with fresh, contemporary pop sounds and her inspiration comes from artists such as Misty Edwards, Kim Walker-Smith, Kari Jobe and Cory Asbury...
