Kristin Joy Ritchie
Biography
Kristin Joy Ritchie is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader from Vancouver, BC. She has been actively involved in leading worship since her early teens. It was also around that time that she began writing and performing her own songs at local coffee shops and house concerts. It wasn’t until recently, however, that she fused her love for leading congregations in worship and her love of writing music. In 2019 she attended the Worship Central Canada Academy where she co-wrote her first congregational worship song “Shield and Strength", an anthem of trusting God in every situation. It was released in 2022, after her debut single Master of These Seas and later that year, You Will Not Abandon Me (Psalm 16) was released. Most recently she released “Hold My Hands Up” a contemporary christian song about needing each other for encouragement and support, using the powerful story of Exodus 17 as a back-drop. Kristin’s first EP “Rooted” is scheduled to release this August and is a live album of three reflective, slightly folky, inspirational songs (including a quieter version of Hold My Hands Up) that she hopes you’ll find restful and encouraging!
