Lyrics

When I’m being tossed on the waves
And the storm clouds are pouring down rain
When I’m riding the ups and the downs
Holding on for dear life

I can call on you
‘Cause you are right there too
And you tell the waves to be still
And they will listen to you

When I’m hemmed in by what feels like
Desert one side and sea on the next
But the pillar’s still leading me there
And the army’s closing in

You will fight for me
‘Cause I’m right where you want me to be
And you tell me to be still
For you can part the sea

You are my hope
You are my strong deliverer, mighty king
You are the master of these seas
You are my peace
You are the anchor in the storm
My God, you’re all I’ll ever need

When I’ve worked hard all night and I’m done
Seems like everything’s turning out wrong
You tell me to keep staying the course
But exhaustion’s coming on

You call me to trust
And you will do the rest
You say throw your net in deep
And then you fill it up

You are my hope
You are my strong deliverer, mighty king
You are the master of these seas
You are my peace
You are the anchor in the storm
My God, you’re all I’ll ever need
My God, you’re all I’ll ever need

Without you I am drifting
And without you these waters overwhelm me
Without you I am drifting
And without you these waters overwhelm me
Without you I am lost
But you show me the way

You are my hope
You are my strong deliverer, mighty king
You are the master of these seas
You are my peace
You are the anchor in the storm
My God, you’re all I’ll ever need
My God, you’re all I’ll ever need

It wasn’t until recently, however, that she fused her love for leading congregations in worship and her love of writing music. In 2019 she attended the Worship Central Canada Academy where she co-wrote her first congregational worship song “Shield and Strength", an anthem of trusting God in every situation... [more]
