Lyrics

Brothers and sisters,
If I come
And speak in tongues,
What good will I be
Unless I bring you
Revelation
Or knowledge or prophecy
Word of instruction?

Tho' lifeless things can
Can make sounds,
Such as the pipe
The pipe or the harp,
How will we know
What tune is played
Unless there's distinction
In the notes?

Again,
If the trumpet
Does not sound a clear call,
Who will get ready for battle?
So it is with you.

Unless you speak clear
With your tongue,
How will we know what you are saying?
You'll just be speaking to the air,
To the air.

Again,
If the trumpet
Does not sound a clear call,
Who will get ready for battle?
So it is with you.

Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages
In the world,
yet none is without meaning.
If I don't understand what someone says
I am a foreigner,
Or they are to me.
In the same way, since you are eager for gifts of,
Of the Spirit, of the Spirit,
Try to excel in those that build up the church,
Build up the church.

Again,
If the trumpet
Does not sound a clear call,
Who will get ready for battle?

Again,
If the trumpet
Does not sound a clear call,
Who will get ready for battle?

Biography

I've been making music and writing songs since I was old enough to reach the piano. I now am a multi-instrumentalist and arranger, with experience arranging for every size of group: from small bands to orchestras.

While serving as a contemporary church planter and music director for an Anglican congregation, I began putting liturgy and scripture to music in 2012... [more]
