Lyrics

My soul longs for the living God
When will I see Your face?
Day and night sorrows burden me
Where is Your saving grace?

Oh my God, my soul is in despair
This burden's more than I can bear

Why my soul are you so dejected?
Hope in God, wait on the Lord
Oh my soul, have you been rejected?
Hope in God, wait on the Lord
Praise will rise

I'll remember Your works Oh God
I hear the music of Your voice
In the night, Your song is with me
In the day, I will rejoice

I hear water falling to the stream
Depths of sorrow crashing over me

Why my soul are you so dejected?
Hope in God, wait on the Lord
Oh my soul, have you been rejected?
Hope in God, wait on the Lord
Praise will rise

Send Your light, send Your truth
Let them lead me
To Your presence I run
Draw me closer

Send Your light, send Your truth
Let them lead me
To Your presence I run
Draw me closer

We will sing of your saving power
Praise arise, praise arise
We will lead with a grateful song
Praise will rise, praise will rise

Why my soul are you so dejected?
Hope in God, wait on the Lord
Oh my soul, have you been rejected?
Hope in God, wait on the Lord

As the deer pants for the water
So my soul needs You, Lord
You alone are my heart's desire
And my soul needs You, Lord

Praise will rise, praise will rise
